The roots of our story
Giuseppe Liotti founded Agrotime in 1989 in San Vito, in the Agro Pontine, as a commercial company; it later became today’s Agritalia agricultural cooperative, which currently has 19 members in the Sabaudia and Terracina area. Giuseppe Liotti is the current CEO, and over time the company premises have moved and expanded, with a 4000-square-metre warehouse. Over the years, the radish has become the flagship product of Agritalia, which is the first producer in the area.
We produce what we are
Our identity is shaped by our land and the values we passionately uphold. For us, production goes beyond mere harvesting; it’s a tangible expression of who we are and what we believe in.
Committed to quality
We have obtained the benchmark IFS Food and GLOBALG.A.P. certifications for quality, in line with the high standards demanded by European customers for quality, food safety, good agricultural practices, traceability, environmental protection and safe conditions for workers.
Radish
Our pièce de resistance, the quintessential crop, bearing the true flavour of our commitment to quality.
Soil
The soil should be fine, permeable and aerated so that plants can grow evenly. For irrigation, the soil should not be too compact or worked using heavy machinery.
Sowing
Before sowing, the soil should be tilled at the correct humidity level to prevent compacting, and loosened to enable uniform germination. We choose natural fertilizers and products certified for organic use, to guarantee genuine radishes with “zero residue”
Nutritional benefits
High in fibre, radishes contribute to the correct functioning of the digestive system and contribute to intestinal regularity. Vitamin C and antioxidants support the immune system.
Snack Radishes
Agritalia also offers Snack Radish, a new way to eat the product, which is washed, trimmed and bagged in different weights. If stored correctly, snack radishes can last up to 10 days.
With Agritalia, taste the freshness and reap the benefits this little treasure of the land offers, even in pocket size.
Trocadero lettuce
The use of special techniques and equipment for transplanting Trocadero lettuce considerably limits attack by pathogens. Monitoring with advanced instrumentation allows us to intervene as and when needed, to guarantee a product of above standard quality.
Soil
The most suitable soil is rich in organic matter, moist, light and fertilized for each production cycle.
Sowing
Prior to sowing, the soil should be ripped, allowed to dry, and then finely tilled.
Nutritional benefits
A rich source of essential vitamins and minerals. This unique combination gives your body a nutrient boost, helping to maintain optimal health.
Watermelon
Decades of experience, constant professional advice, specific and constantly evolving techniques ensure fruit of excellent quality and flavour.
Soil
The soil should be rich and tending to acidity, in addition to being well hydrated and high in nutrients. Watermelon hates to be waterlogged, so the soil is prepared by deep ripping and enriched with compost or stable/poultry manure.
Sowing
Thanks to the local climate and our facilities, we start transplanting as early as February and, by taking advantage of rotated land designated for winter crops, production runs from May to early August. Water management is key from the moment the seedlings are planted.
Nutritional benefits
High in water, Dumara watermelon is an ideal source of hydration. Its soft, juicy texture makes this fruit the perfect way to combat dehydration on hot days.
Gentilina lettuce
Our gentilina lettuce production process is based on experience and close attention to seasonality. The cultivation cycle is designed to guarantee a fresh, safe and consistently high-quality product.
Terrain
Gentilina lettuce requires light, well-drained soil that is rich in organic substances. We prepare the soil superficially, applying natural compost or aged manure to promote optimal balance between moisture and nutrition.
Sowing
The gentilina lettuce cultivation cycle is ideally suited to the cooler months. We sow from early fall through late spring, taking advantage of the local climate conditions, which are ideal for this product. Thanks to the rapid growth, it is possible to harvest several times during the season.
Product benefits
Gentilina lettuce stands out for its lightness, crisp texture and delicate flavor. Rich in water and fiber, it is perfect for those looking for a healthy and easily digestible food.
Quality and genuineness start here
We currently export 85 percent of our products (Germany, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic), with the remaining 15 percent going to the Italian large-scale retail trade.
Abroad too, our radish is particularly valued for its flavour profile and genuine goodness.
