Export companies of dairy products from Europe

Fromagerie Milleret export company of dairy products from France

Our family business

Human size, sense of family

In 1921, in a region of Eastern France, Franche-Comté, Henri Milleret founded his own dairy producing exclusively soft-ripened cheeses. The dairy was located in the tiny Leffond Chapel, in the village of Charcenne. At this time, only some liters of milk were used to produce cheese.
We are an independent company with a 100% family owned capital since 1921. We have transmitted our unique know-how for 3 generations respecting values of simplicity, authenticity and love of our craft.

220 employees participate in the ongoing development of the dairy.

A microbial enzyme, a little salt… that’s all !

Our cheeses are suitable for vegetarians since we do not use animal rennet for their manufacture.
We only use natural ingredients: no food colouring, preservatives or artificial flavourings.
Our milk is rich in our land’s biodiversity. We extract specific lactic acid bacteria from the milk, giving our cheeses their unique characteristic.

Origin: France

All our products are made in Franche-Comté (East of France area) in only one factory in Charcenne.

We are very careful with the origin and quality of our ingredients.

Our technology

Our cheese technology is different, that’s why our texture is always soft without running. Our products don’t mature with time. The taste of our cheeses depends on ripening. White moulds stay soft, mixed rinds develop specific flavour throughout their shelf life. Our asset is that our cheeses never have bitterness or a mushroom-like taste which are considered defects.
This technology is more complex. The percentage of cream in our cheeses is superior to competitors. Our cheeses keep the same quality so our consumers are always satisfied.

Our target:

100% satisfied consumers thanks to stable quality.

Our family-run cheese dairy offers a wide range of pasteurised cow’s milk cheeses.

White mould, mixed rind, truffle cheese, you are bound to find the one you like!

Milleret started exporting in 1969, with Switzerland as its first destination.

The few products exported were initially the company’s traditional cheeses.

The peak of sales in Germany in the 1980s was a real springboard to worldwide distribution.

The cheeses exported are different from those sold in France because the clientele is not the same.

There are therefore specific recipes for export (such as P’tit Grey).

The formats

The formats are also adapted and especially smaller (Leffond, Roucoulons 125g, etc.) because cheese consumption is much lower outside France and especially outside Europe.

Within our cheese factory, the export team remains agile and reactive. It is dedicated to the satisfaction of international customers and has been since the beginning of this activity. Export has become a real strategic axis for the company’s growth.

IT HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE…
