Our History
New Sevegep was established in 1972 as a cooperative company at the edge of Cyprus’s biggest citrus growing area, the Morphou plain. Its purpose; to process and export local fruits and vegetables. Almost 50 years later and the small cooperative of the 70’s has many reasons to feel proud for. To this day farmers from all over Cyprus rely on New Sevegep to absorb their yearly harvests and convert them into marketable final products.
Through commitment, hard work and innovation, the local cooperative has progressed to one of the most reliable manufacturers in the juice industry with exports to more than 80 countries. Our ability to adapt and follow market trends with flexibility and speed has allowed a steady growth and international recognition over the years.
Today, New Sevegep operates at modern processing facilities, utilizing cutting edge machinery to ensure the highest standards of production. Our highly trained personnel ensure high product quality and maximum customer satisfaction.

Over the past decade our quality philosophy has developed significantly, and resources were shifted toward continuous improvement of our processes. To meet the high standards of this new philosophy we perform regular self-audits, spanning from the careful selection of raw materials to the state-of-the-art production process and the continuous product development. We have also invited several external organizations to review our processes and have acquired the following certificates of quality:
AIB INTERNATIONAL
The AIB International Consolidated Standards for Inspection of Beverage Facilities are statements that represent key requirements a facility must meet to keep the food products in its facility wholesome and safe. The Standards also reflect what an inspector would expect to see in a facility that maintains a food-safe processing environment.
FDA Certification
The purpose of an FDA inspection is to determine a facility’s compliance with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and relevant regulations of Title 21 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), including, when applicable, Part 110 (Current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in Manufacturing, Packing, or Holding Human Food) and any other U.S. regulations applicable to the specific type of food produced.
FSSC 22000 Certification
FSSC 22000 is a certification scheme for food and feed safety and quality management systems in compliance with ISO22000/9001 requirements, sector specific Prerequisite Program (PRPs) requirements and additional scheme requirements. FSSC 22000 focuses on assuring food safety by defining, evaluating and controlling risks and hazards during processing, manufacturing, packaging, storage, transportation, distribution, handling or offering for sale or supply in any sector of the food chain.
ISO 22000
The ISO 22000 is a certification scheme that sets out the requirements for a food safety management system and can be certified to it. It maps out what an organization needs to do to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards to ensure that food is safe. In our case it covers processes like extraction, concentration, and packaging.
Halal
In addition to the above, all our brands are Halal certified. Certificates can be provided upon request. Halal certification is a process which ensures the features and quality of the products according to the rules established by the Islamic Council that allow the use of the mark Halal. It is mainly applied to meat and other food products.

Juice Concentrates
The main product derived is concentrated juice. We can offer a wide range of high-quality citrus juice concentrates such as Orange, Grapefruit and Lemon. In addition, we can offer Apple, Grape and Pineapple concentrates at varying concentrations according to customers’ specifications. All concentrates are homogenized and packed in stainless steel drums with double polyethylene inner bags, stored at a temperature of -18 degrees Celsius.
Essential Oils
A byproduct of the procedure is essential oil which is extracted in an additional process line. The peel of the citrus fruit is processed mechanically, and the essential oils are obtained. We can offer the following flavors: Orange, Grapefruit (red, pink, and white) as well as Lemon and Tangerine. Our sales team can provide further information related to separate batches as well as samples upon request.
